The content of this program prepares learners who wish to be involved in shipping operations both practically and in the office environment. It aims to provide learners with the necessary knowledge, skills and applied competency to manage logistics in an enterprise in an integrated manner. Learners would have to complete either one of two electives, namely Managing Liner Trades or Occupational Health and Safety.
Successful completion of this program will provide the individual with an advantage to gaining employment within ship agencies and related port industries.
This is a part time program developed to ensure that learners build a solid foundation of competency in the ships agency field. This is aimed at providing learners with the conceptual framework to perform routine and non-routine shipping functions and serves as a sound foundation for further studies in the maritime environment.
